Positional plagyocephalia or “flat head” has become a very common occurrence with the high recommendation to place babies on their backs to sleep, but with the huge reduction in the incidences of SIDS you really wouldn’t sleep them any other way.

The problem is, babies tend to find a comfy spot, then once a flat spot starts the baby’s head will generally return to that same spot making the flat spot even more pronounced. Unfortunately, some infants heads may take years to return to a normal shape and can look very strange. At present, the only known cure is for the infant to wear an uncomfortable helmet 22 hours a day. So, as any Doctor will tell you, prevention is better than a cure.

Made from shape memory foam with a soft cotton cover, the Baby Head Rest has been developed to provide gentle support for baby’s head and natural head movements, while reducing the risk of a flat spot forming (Plagiocephaly) in babies 0-4 months of age.

Ideally and for best prevention, the Baby Head Rest should be used from birth, however if a flat spot is noticed within the first few weeks after birth, using the Baby-Head-Rest may stop it from worsening and could result in some correction.

Do not immerse Baby-Head-Rest in water as this hardens the shape-memory foam. Cover can be hand spot cleaned only. Baby-Head-Rest can be placed in a pillowcase to be kept clean.
